Swords and Shields

An intense doodle of Steven protecting Connie with a cracked gem and some battle damage. What I do on a labour day monday.  

I have a feeling that Steven and Connie are eventually going to wind up in a situation like this once they start fighting against the Diamond Authority. And with a cracked gem, guaranteed, Steven wont be able to use his healing powers or shield like how Lapis couldn't use her wings when her gem was damaged. Oh how the feels do invade.  

His legs are bent to show Steven attempting to stand up, so he is shorter than he usually is here.
